If their 2022 debut Unsoothing Interior was the tense prelude, Vero’s second album Razor Tongue is the full-throttle release. Written in just two months during Stockholm’s bleak winter, the record thrives on urgency: no re-takes, no second-guessing—just pedal-to-the-floor intensity. The trio—Julia Boman (bass, vocals), Amanda Eddestål (guitar), and Clara Gyökeres (guitar)—found their sanctuary in a DIY studio built with a sound-engineer friend, bringing in longtime collaborator Mille Hökengren on drums to drive the songs into rougher, rawer territory. The result is wiry alt-rock with punk edges, choruses that detonate, and lyrics about obsession, loneliness, and fragile declarations of love.
