As a part of Reykjavík Arts Festival, the Choir of Hallgrímskirkja invites you to a concert where two influential Icelandic composers will be brought together: Hildur Guðnadóttir, the festival’s artist-in-residence, and Jón Nordal, who would have turned 100 in the spring of 2026. The concert will feature several of Hildur’s works written for choir, alongside Jón’s major work Óttusöngvar á vori (1993) for choir, soprano, countertenor, organ, cello, and percussion. Among the performers is Álfheiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir, with Steinar Logi Helgason conducting.
