Appearances / Ásýndir On Friday, March 13, from 5–7 PM, Anna Álfheiður Brynjólfsdóttir opens the exhibition Appearances / Ásýndir at La Boutique Design, Mýrargöta 18 . The exhibition runs until April 25 and is open from 11:00–18:00 on weekdays and 11:00–16:00 on Saturdays. The exhibition is installed both in the showroom and in the gallery on the lower floor at La Boutique Design. The exhibition is a continuation of the Symmetry series, which Anna Álfheiður has been exploring since early 2025. The works move along the boundary between painting and space, where perception and distance shape the experience, and may be described as a kind of sculptural textile paintings . In her work, Anna Álfheiður examines how painting can move away from the flat surface and into space, and how perception, distance, and movement become inseparable elements in the formation of the work.
